WHAT I DO

STUNNING VIDEO VISUALS

DOCUMENTARY WORK

This was shot on one day.

Interviewed, shot, edited, and colored, by me.

This was a two day fly-in of some of JDC's board members.

I accompanied them for the duration of their mission, capturing what they saw in Israel.

Had to interview them in between the hectic drives, conferences, community meet-ups, tours and more.

A video showcasing JDC's work in evacuee hotels in southern Israel.
One of their projects was about the elderly evacuees. Giving them activities like exercise, gardening, jewelry-making, arts and crafts, and more.

This video was shot in one day.

Edited and colored by me.

SOME OF MY RECENT FAVORITE FRAMES

INTERVIEWS

Creating a safe interview environment can be difficult sometimes. It is my #1 priority that the interviewee will feel safe to speak freely about anything. That said, a pleasing image with a background that matches the context of the video is extremely essential.

Sound sound sound. Sound is 50% of the video expirience.

I take audio recording very seriously when shooting pepole speaking. For example, here is a raw, unprocessed snippet of a random interview's audio.

Sound mix in post production is a very important part that can be taken for granted in a project that didn't have a soundman on set.

COLOR GRADING

Color grading can make or break the look and production value of a film.

A good shot can become great thanks to color and a great shot can be destroyed with poor color.

In my color grading process, I try to convey how the protagonist feels in this part of the story while emulating some of the elements creating the organic feeling of physical film print.

Just watch the difference between

ungraded REC.709 footage and a final grade.
